“The antidote to exhaustion isn’t rest.
It’s wholeheartedness.”

– David Whyte

Living Life on Purpose

Our lives are a compilation of expanding choices. External pressures seduce us with ideas of how our lives should be, so we tend to lose ourselves along the way. We forget to have conversations with our hearts, often living our lives from the neck up, moving from one task to another. We fall into a state of constant reaction, which is exhausting.

Whenever I find myself depleted, I realize that I’ve been focusing on all my professional and personal “shoulds” and that I’ve lost my wholeheartedness. I’m not in alignment with what matters most to me. The good news is that once you become conscious of your reactive state and you muster a little courage to take a look, it takes very little effort to get back in alignment with your heart.

Living Life on Purpose (LLOP) is a life-changing, two-day session that guides you to stay true to yourself and to your heart, inviting you to make necessary adjustments to live your days with purpose and intentionality. Refer to the session that suits you. We offer sessions for individuals and teams.

Show your teams you care about them and what matters most to them. Deepen the level of trust and connection on your team.

• Most companies have systems in place that define how an employee experiences professional growth and advancement. Yet, too often, many companies overemphasize “sharpening the saw” rather than engaging the whole person.

• Recent data reports that less than 16 percent of employees are truly engaged at work. Simply asking your team members what they value, love, and loathe about their jobs increases engagement by more than 70 percent.*

• Living Life on Purpose for Teams helps teams and their leaders gain a much better understanding and appreciation for what drives each individual on the team and the team as a whole.

We spend our time seeing the human and the heart in each team member.

Creating wholeheartedness – The two-day retreat for teams invites members and their leaders to explore eleven questions, surfacing wholehearted values and passions that align individuals with the collective work they do. The result is a significantly strengthened team container that they can rely on to achieve amazing results.

Forming accountability – During the retreat, we form accountability partners or groups within the team and provide them with facilitator guides to use in follow-up conversations. These guides support team alignment and shifts that should happen. The guides also give team members a unique opportunity to bear witness to each other’s journeys and support one another.

Access to nature – Time outdoors is a core design principle in facilitating the retreat and seasonal locations are planned depending on the time of year. Suggestions are welcome and encouraged if they meet these guidelines.

Providing sustainable results – After the retreat, the leader is provided with facilitator guidelines and exercises to use in future team meetings that reinforce the tools we’ve shared and the bond we’ve created during our time together. Follow-up advisory calls with the team leader are scheduled throughout the year to ensure that you have the support you need to lead on purpose and bring out the wholeheartedness in your team.

Get ready to live a life with clarity and purpose

• Living a life on purpose means knowing what you value, having a vision for yourself, and building the discernment skills and practices to bring the vision into reality.

• It is a journey that invites you to look at your life compassionately and courageously. We’ll explore your core values, limiting beliefs, and the life roles you play, and we’ll gently challenge your mental models around these influences.

• With support during the retreat and after, you will listen to the voice in your heart and in your head to tune into ‚ what matters most to you.

We spend our time together focusing on four guiding principles.

Gaining clarity – The Living Life on Purpose program is designed around eleven life questions. Each one is an invitation to explore what matters most and gain clarity about what you want to say “Yes!” to in the coming months. To say “Yes!” means we have to say “No!” Together, we support each other in “living our maps” and staying in alignment with ourselves.

Self-discovery – The process is a combination of self-reflection and guidance from certified coaches. Throughout our time together, you are supported through the power of witnessing and serving as a witness for others as well as finding freedom to express your needs and wants in a safe and inclusive environment.

Letting nature nurture – One of the most important design principles of LLOP is ensuring that we have access to nature during the retreat. Research tells us that just twenty minutes in nature has a significant impact on our nervous systems. When your nervous system isn’t in fight or flight mode, you have more energy and literally greater ability to think creatively—wholeheartedly and with more self-compassion.

A morning of truth – An essential moment in the retreat is the morning of day two when we walk together in nature. This walk follows our night of processing and allows us to make space for a deeper conversation with ourselves. This is the moment when truth emerges in our consciousness about what we really want and we give it space to seep in.

What alumni are saying:

I entered into [this program] with the pedestrian plan to refine my year's business plan but I left with a whole new outlook on how to approach my life from the largest goals down to the daily routine. I feel much more energized and excited about tackling the hard projects I have in front of me.

I am eternally grateful for this incredible program and how it has made me a better father, person, and leader.

This was an impressive program and immediately safe place for self-discovery and personal growth.

This program is, by far, one of the most unique and powerful workshops I have experienced.
